Whilst I can appreciate some of you are fastidious with your body grooming, in the current situation I will not be taking on any new clients.
Hairdressers, barber shops and hair salons may continue to operate, ensuring no more than 1 person for every 4 square metres of space as per DHHS.vic.gov
With these restrictions imposed to Hairdressers and Barbers now imposed, The Body Barber™, in a very limited capacity, will be cutting/clipping body hair of current clients ONLY . Waxing, laser and massage services have been put on hold until the green light has been given by DHHS.
Online bookings have been suspended until the full range of services are able to be offered again and any other enquiries regarding a clip are to be done via text or voice.
My decision whether or not to see anyone is not to be taken personally as changes to the DHHS may change at any time. All of these risks apply to hairdressers/barbers too, but are multiplied because I generally see several clients across my day and am reliant on the client being HONEST about their social behaviour.
It's a horrible time for many of us with the hardships of losing an income having dire consequences everywhere. Don't discount the resulting stress that comes with all of this guys, especially mental health. Reach out for support before it all gets too overwhelming, it may be a mate to talk to or the various services out there Beyond Blue, Mensline and the many others listed under the Beyond Blue link.
In the event that a client is adamant to get a clip, please let me know :
Please let me know to reschedule, cancellations fees will be waived.
Coronavirus shutdowns don't apply to barbershops and hair salons. But is it safe to get a haircut?
What are the rules for hair salons?
Hair salons aren't on the list of "non-essential" services ordered to shut down this week.
But they're subject to the same rules as other indoor venues: only one person is allowed in the salon for every four square metres.
A decision to limit appointments to 30 minutes was later reversed.
"It was very apparent that it was an impractical limitation," deputy chief medical officer Nick Coatsworth said.
All other personal care services where there is close contact for a prolonged period must cease, including:
Allied health services, such as physiotherapy and podiatry are not required to close.
My priority is to ensure the safety of my clients and myself so please text me should you have any concerns.

At The Body Barber™, manscaping, dude-pruning, bro-mowing, scrotercation or just plain ol' hair removal .... aesthetics play a huge role in body hair management and is what my business is all about. In using various professional tools of the trade, I'll style, sculpt and engineer your body hair giving you that confidence about not only looking your best, but feeling it as well.
Consultations for clips are free, unless work is carried out at the time, so text or call to see how big a difference a clip can make to not only yourself, but to how others interact with you as well.
