COVID-19 Scheduled Opening 2020

Q. When am I going to be seeing clients back again ?
Q. When can you come in and experience the joy of getting your short and curlies ripped out by the root ? (bet you forgot what that feels like !!)
Q. That amazing feeling of being super smooth for days, weeks or years on end again, when is that going to happen ?
.
A.When can beauty and personal service providers open? October 26th, so soon. Once Victoria reaches the Third Step, businesses that provide beauty and personal services that can be completed while a face covering is worn for the duration of the service will be allowed to open.

However, services such as facials, face tattoos, certain face piercings, and lip waxing, where it is not possible to wear a face covering will not be allowed until later steps.

COVID-19 Consent forms.

All clients will be required to sign a COVID-19 release form on arrival so please allow for a little extra time than usual, especially if you're paying for parking (may I suggest the app 'paystay'.

Online Bookings ?

After coming out of our first lock down I was totally swamped with bookings as you can probably imagine by your own want to tidy up and feel good again. The online booking system, whilst convenient for you, is mostly a nightmare for me with time management and leaves a lot of unworkable gaps in my weekly schedule. I know, what do you care, you just want as little effort as possible ... this one is about me and will help you in the long run so I can squeeze more of you in, as a result I won't be activating the online booking system until early Jan 2021 (after all, we're already at the end of September, Xmas in 10 weeks or so !!)
I have started booking clients in from Monday, Oct 26th. Should that opening date be brought forward a week those clients already booked in will be given first preference for earlier dates. I'll just change your booking date for a week earlier, unless that doesn't suit.

Warning !

I'm going to be fierce with no shows or last minute cancellations and WILL be charging applicable fees .... there are too many clients desperate to get in and being late or no show is just rude and inconsiderate to others, I'm already getting fired up lol.
.
I know a lot of us have not been working and just sitting idly at home but PLEASE avoid conversations regarding conspiracy theories or your opinion on the leader of the govt be it Vic or any other state/territory, and save that negativity for therapy ..... I do not have the mental capacity for 100 people a week offloading those frustrations.
.

Bubbles ?

What about Bubbles indeed, I think Michael stopped blowing bubbles and gave him away when he lost his cuteness, I'm sure by now he's dead.

Unlike the guy who obviously hadn't had curry the night before, I can not create 100s of bubbles, I don't have a bath for a start but on a more serious note, the person you create a bubble with can't form a social bubble with someone else.

A personal note:

I trust and honestly hope that you are all managing through this all, regarding work and also your health, especially mental and physical health. I've not had more than 3 weeks off in almost 20 years and now to have had almost 6, if not 7 months off is well, weird. Though there's been no income other than JobKeeper going toward living expenses, which I'm very grateful for don't get me wrong, I have no idea how this COVID frumpy body has developed ! I'm certainly still a lot, lot better off than some others out there and we all mustn't forget how lucky we are compared to others less fortunate !

So that's it really, nothing exciting but just "reaching out" to get you all "on board" as it's all quite "binary" really. ("reaching out" !? really !! can you see my fingers coming out over the horizon, "on board", "binary" .... corporate tosser wanky PC crap ... NOW who needs therapy !? haha "shout out" ? can you hear me ? don't get me started)

..........................................................................................................

Keep reading for the greater detail, compliance, official wording from our Premier and Vic gov health site and bear in mind that I guess this could all change at any time.

“Following further considerations in public health advice, I can announce that beauty and personal services where a mask can be worn for the entire time that the person is getting the services they are accessing, will be able to proceed in the third step alongside hairdressers. So, beauty and personal services wear a mask can be worn will be in line with hairdressing in the third step and not at the almost last step of our roadmap.” Daniel Andrews, Premier of Victoria.

CURRENT AFTER 26 OCTOBER AND:

  • Daily average number of cases in the last 14 days is less than 5 (statewide) AND
  • Less than 5 cases with an unknown source in the last 14 days (statewide total)

The time period must pass AND the number of cases must be low enough to move to the next step. This is a trigger point for public health review.
