Cancellation policy @ The Body Barber™

We value your business and appreciate your cooperation with our cancellation policy.

'Fluff Reminder™' Policy

Please respect our scheduling by keeping appointments whenever possible.

Understand that when you cancel or forget your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time and clients on our waiting list also miss the opportunity to receive services.

  • For bookings over a week in advance, a courtesy text will be sent out 48 hours prior your appointment with a 'fluff reminder™' asking for confirmation.
  • For bookings within 7 days of your appointment your courtesy 'fluff reminder™' text will be sent out with 24 hours notice asking for confirmation.

Deposit Policies

Deposits need to be paid by all new clients of The Body Barber™ on the same day as their initial appointment request, we will not hold an appointment without a deposit.

  • New clients of The Body Barber™ are required to pay a $30 deposit to secure their requested service. In the case where your requested services is over the value of $150 or 1.5hrs in length, a $50 deposit is required.

Christmas Bookings

December is a crucial month and sees many people coming out of the woodwork due to so many celebrations, parties and social activities.

  • Preference is given to our clients on 'mantenance' programs. Clients not on 'mantenance programs' are required to pay a $30 deposit to secure their appointments.
  • Unfortunately new clients will only be accepted for the month of December should there be last minute gaps and be required to pay a $50 deposit to secure their booking.

Cancellation and Reschedule Policy

Due to a significant rise in the amount of 'no-show', last minute cancellations and/or rescheduled appointments, we've had to implement and enforce new cancellation and no show policies, effective immediately.

Please give no less than 24 hours advance notice should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. You can do this without any fees, charges or slaps on the wrist, BUT :

  • Because your appointments are guaranteed reservations, should you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, there will be a fee of $30 applicable to those on 'mantenance programs'
  • For those not part of our 'mantenance programs Same day cancellations will be charged @ 50% of the scheduled service.
  • For those not part of our 'mantenance programs' Last minute cancellations with less than 3 hours notice you will be charged 75% of your scheduled service.
Until all charges owing have been paid, we unfortunately cannot provide you with any future services at The Body Barber™.
  • Habitually rescheduling, arriving late or missing appointments we will ask that you pay 100% of the service at the time of making the appointment and/or risk being barred from making future appointments. The Body Barber™ reserves the right to refuse Treatments or services to you, the Client until all fees have been paid.
 

No Show Policy

We understand that Melbourne's traffic is chaotic, please plan ahead so that you turn up on time for your appointment. In the event that you fail to turn up at your scheduled time, you will receive a call, or text, within 10 minutes ... because we care. 
  • Missed appointments will be treated as "no show" and be charged 100% of the scheduled service with any 'mantenance program' benefits waivered.
  • First time clients who "no show" will be charged for their scheduled service in full as if attended, and forfeit any deposits made.
    • Any service rescheduled, or requested in the future, will be required to be paid in full on the same day as the request.
Until all charges owing have been paid, we unfortunately cannot provide you with any future services at The Body Barber™.
 
If you do not show us the courtesy of responding to our communications in the event of a no-show, we unfortunately cannot provide you with any further treatments and your number will be blocked.

Bookings

Planning ahead:  (noun + adverb) ( planɪŋ /Ə’hƐd )

You need to get off your arse, get your shit together and book your appointments NOW, or else risk missing out, pretty simple really

Be warned !! If you send a text “can I have a wax?”, my answer will probably be “I don’t know, ask your mother”, think about it ! I need as much information as possible to be able to answer your enquiries.

Please ensure your
initial text includes the following:

Tue - Sat 10:00 till 20:00 (I'm a 24hr guy) Sun/Mon CLOSED

If you call and I don’t answer, I’m busy devoting my expertise to a client and so don’t interrupt their service which, if you’re here as a client, you would appreciate.

Last thing, I DO book out several days in advance so if asking “what are you doing tomorrow?” I may just say “unfortunately, not you”..… and remember to laugh, life’s short.
